Day 5

the Shading continues….The rocks are developing quite nicely. I added some slot and box canyons, and starting to stet the mood for the lighting…

the painting continues…..
still looking very flat. i realize that i dont feel comfortable with aby painting i am working on until the white canvas is covered with color. then i can start creating the depth, see the next days’ painting.

2nd Day of painting

so i moved 9 of the panels inside my studio. The ground is level and i can keep the seams even. the remaining 4 panels are outside on the only level part of my driveway.  Its looking very david hockney with the flat colors. I am hoping to start adding the depth with the rendering [...]

First day of Painting

So my first official day of painting. I worked on the basics of the sky and horizon line mountains and rock formations. It went fairly quick, with just laying he flat colors. about half way through a dust devil (mini desert whirlwind) came through and knocked all my boards over. thankfully no harm [...]
